Shoulder pain can be caused by many different conditions and can often be hard to initially diagnosis. Some of the shoulder conditions we see often include:
Rotator Cuff Syndrome: which is a combination of loss of curvature in the neck, improper muscle function, muscle strain and improper recruiting.
A-C Joint Sprain: usually occurs as the result of a direct fall onto the shoulder that causes injury to the ligaments that surround and stabilize the AC joint of the shoulder.
Bursistis: an inflammation of a bursa. It is an overuse condition usually characterized by pain and sometimes by redness and swelling.
Frozen Shoulder: also called adhesive capsulitis, the tissues of the shoulder capsule become thick, stiff and inflamed. Over time the shoulder becomes extremely difficult to move, even with assistance.
