The best treatment for any health problem, one could argue, is to treat the source of the condition, as opposed to the symptoms of the condition. Chronic Headaches (more than 3 per week) and Migraines are no different.

It is estimated that 36 million Americans suffer from migraines, but only 1 of every 3 people talk with a doctor about their headaches. Of those patients, only half of them get the right diagnosis.

In our office, we treat only the headaches or migraines which stem from cervical neck conditions. Some of these conditions would be spinal stenosis and/or a degenerative disc condition of the cervical region.  We provide treatments only for these types of headaches or migraines.

These are some of the common Migraines-Headaches are:

Migraine without Aura: This is the most frequent type of Migraine. Symptoms include moderate to severe pulsating headache pain that occurs without warning and is usually felt on one side of the head. It comes along with nausea, confusion, blurred vision, mood changes, fatigue, and sensitivity to light or sound.

Migraine with Aura: This type of Migraine includes visual disturbances and other neurological symptoms that appear about 10 to 60 minutes before the actual headache and usually last no more than an hour. You may temporarily lose part or all of your vision.

Migraine without a Headache: Migraine without Headache is characterized by visual problems or other aura symptoms, nausea, vomiting, and constipation, but without head pain.

Hemiplegic Migraine: Rare, but severe form of Migraine that causes temporary paralysis, sometimes lasting several days, on one side of the body, prior to or during a headache.

Chronic Migraine: Characterized by headaches occurring on 15 or more days per month for more than 3 months, which have the features of Migraine headache on at least 8 days per month. They can be with or without aura.

Retinal Migraine: A very rare type of Migraine characterized by attacks of visual loss or disturbances in one eye. These attacks, like the more common visual auras, are usually associated with Migraine headaches.

Chronic Headaches (Non-Migraine): More people complain about headaches than any other medical ailment. There are approximately 45 million Americans complaining of headaches each and every year. That works out to about one in every six people or 16.54% of the population. More than eight million Americans visit their doctor for complaints of headache each year, and spending over $41 Billion a year for headache treatment.
